Bumper clip thing

they were probably just hoping you weren't very observant  just take it back, i'm sure they'll replace it for you.

I'm not driving all the way to liverpool. Ill ring them up later but I want to get it off to check first before I go verbally insulting them.

i personally wouldn't take it off as you could end up breaking it yourself. just phone up and say it's not been fitted properly and take it from there.

Agree that the photo does not look as if the clip has allowe the bumper to sag, however they may well have broken the part of the clip when the pin locks into.

You can just pull the bumper out of the bracket and check. Nothing to lose as it's not right.

I think CJ has it right, bottom part of the clip has broken off.

heres a picture of mine which is sagging. I need to get a new clip as it wont clip into the wing.

If i was you I would be more worried why your M has runflats. Not 100% sure but you alloys wont have the lip to keep the runflat tyre from coming if you were to have a puncher.

.....Mine bumper doesnt looks like its sagged at all - its just that fixing bit thats goosed.

It probably has run flats as they don't have much of an idea what they are doing! It doesnt surprise me after everything thats happend.

I'm actually driving to the lake district on Friday and will be there a week, want me to bring a spare clip with me? I've got three sitting infront of me and it does the job PERFECTLY.

How much do you want for it? and why do you have them? ha...

I'm at a wedding on Friday evening, working on Sat - I could possibly meet you on Sunday somewhere though.

I meant the little Christmas tree clip to fill the hole, not the larger whole bumper clip.

I do actually have a spare bumper clip but it's passenger side, sorry.

You're more than welcome to a Christmas tree clip to fill the hole for free. I picked up a few because I needed one (did say earlier in the thread).

Ahhh I have the clip - I dont think there is anything wrong with it, its more the bit behind its supposed to grab!

Thanks for the offer though! Hope you have a good time in the lakes! :driving:
