Bump stops for B4 shocks?

Hi All.

Bought a set of Bilstein B4 shocks for my E86. Trouble is they don't come with bump stops and my original bmw ones are toast (and won't fit anyway as the shaft on the b4 is slimmer than on the original bmw strut).

Can anyone help with what bump stops I need for the rear of the car? Anyone fitted B4s?

I used M sport ones and they fitted fine. Likely theyre loose as the existing ones are worn, got a set of new Febi ones on ebay

Suggest you do lots of googling... as according to Bilstein my B6 ones have internal bumpstops!

You could be right however the shaft on B4s is significantly smaller in diameter to the bmw ones.

I fitted B4s at the weekend and reused the existing bumpstops, front and rear, and they fitted as if they were purpose-made for the Bilsteins.

The bump stop linked to above is not an M sport bump stop but an oem for the standard suspension.

Not sure if it matters. I searched for ages and there was no m sport after market bump stops in stock.

Ended up purchasing genuine BMW and they are expensive for what they are.

When I went into the dealership to check they took my VIN and told me the bump stops for my Z with M sport suspension was part no 33536761903. £19.96 each.

That is the correct M sport ref for the rears, fronts are 31336778545. £20 ea is about what i paid for genuine BMW which is extortinate for what they are.
