Bulkhead trapdoor

New to Z4s and this site - 2015 20i M-sport in ORANGE, Yeh! But why hasn't my Z4 got a plastic trapdoor in the rear bulkhead? Just asking!

As you’ve found out, they don’t all have it (maybe it’s an option?)
Someone on here retrofitted it by buying a used rear trim panel, looks like a bit of a job to install though :?

I have a pull down flap between the seats if that's what you mean, apparently its for ski`s!!!! you also get a plastic thingammee jig Velcro`d in the boot to support them
 
I am pretty sure you can buy the little storage pack from BMW that fits in there with a door and 3 shelves inside.
 
For us with no 'Ski hatch' just grey 'carpet' is there steel behind the carpet where the hatch goes or is a hole there in all cars ready for the hatch option?

There is a hole.
I retro fitted by buy from a breakers the cabin bulkhead panel, the boot panel (which is different from the no pass through version) and the plastic trap door and shelves.
