Watching this as i have the same problem too. it was coming on intermittently for some time and is now on permanently.

I have this it normally goes out when you press the brake, might be some door of check ??

Just to be sure, have you checked the fog lights and indicators?

yea been round evrything on and looks fine and pressing the brakes as well as reverse and fogs

Side lights ? Have you fitted LEDs anywhere that don't have resistsors ? These would show an error...

Have you checked your reg plate lights? I had this on a Van and it was one of the 2 reg plate lights, not very obvious as the reg plate was lite up, but not fully.

If you can fine out which bulb is causing the problem you can code the car not to check for bulb out, this will stop light on dashboard.

Anyone know of a solution to this? My '06 Z4C has just started intermittently illuminated the dash bulb warning light but all lights are fine. ???

I've got this same problem on mine. All the bulbs seem fine and it is intermittent.

If anyone knows of an easy fix that'd be great, otherwise I'll just live with it probably.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that the bulb gone warning is as a consequence of change of resistence. As the bulb gets older it's resistence changes and on occassions, it will give a warning before it goes. Predictive early warning system.

My e39 used to tell me which bulb had "gone" so just changed to a new bulb and warning gone. Does the Z tell which bulb though.

Possible solution.

I had exactly this intermittent bulb fault a few months after getting my Zed. A chance opportunity for a free diagnostics showed it was a rear brake light... but it was still working.

On further investigation, I found some of the contact point corroded & despite cleaning them up the problem re-occurred. However, I swapped the bulbs round between those that were corroded (& subsequently cleaned) & those that looked like new & since then not had the problem reoccur.

Worth a try at the very least

I had a problem on a brake light recently. Got a warning, brake light was out, then a wee bit down the road it went away and the light worked again. The next day it happened again - in daylight I could see that the filament was not blown but it had come loose from the pin holding it in place, so it was intermittently touching and working, then over a bump and it stopped working. Replaced the bulb and the warning light was still on... Had to bugger about quite a bit to get the holder back in correctly, even though it felt like it was secured and in properly.

It could be cold or warm check of lights, this can be turned off in navcoder or ncsexpert

You could always code car not to check specific bulbs if there is a problem
