Had to swerve to avoid a Sunday driver deciding to make a U turn without looking to see if anyone was overtaking the dawdler. We had been travelling at 20ish mph for a couple of miles, at the first safe place to nip past he decided that was the point to swing round.62169791251__3473DCE0-5D99-4B40-BC5C-29FBE04E6A45.jpeg

Ooooo, sorry for your pain, but there could have been a wall or kerb, hope the fix is not too hurtful.

I did think about it but no chance it was sat on its belly.

And the radiator is damaged.

So, it is a repair or right off:-

Visible bits bust:-

Bumper
Fogs
Radiator
under tray
wheel arches
a few bulbs
Number plate

EML light on!

Man! That sucks! I'll bet there was no indication from said driver either!! :headbang:

Hopefully not a write off! I am 80% sure it wont be...

That'll buff out.
I'd even be tempted to not make a claim, unless u have protected no-claims?

:? The bumper is split in half, you have some buffer if it will sort that out

That really is a "bugger" moment - sorry to see your car looking so sad OP.

I hope the U turn numpty stopped, or you got their details and hope your car can be repaired.

Plastic weld ftw. If it hasn't splintered into a million pieces it could be potentially saved and any scratches polished out. Maybe a new topcoat and laquer.
The alignment at the bonnet and lights looks unaffected.
I'd have a crack at it to save a few bob anyway.
The rads definitely a goner though.

OP make sure you check around main (engine/gearbox) seal for any oil leaks. That would potentially be your biggest problem if the sump or bottom end's taken a nudge.

A front Si bumper isnt hard to come by & not extortionate so that part of the fix should be fairly cheap.
Doesn't take much for a insurance company to write off these days & dependent on miles & if op claims I'd expect them to go that way rather than hire car for a month plus a circa £2k-£3k repair :(

No hire car required.

Fingers crossed, I would like it back if possible
