Thought I'd take out the zed today to clock up yet another 10 miles ( now up to 28753  ) - heard so much about the magic sport button so I gave it a go - and yes it does work - revs go up , engine growls , instant response :) Nothing but country lanes around where I live - good fun even with RFT's

Tried it out to see the effect yesterday. 70mph steady cruise holding throttle position. Button on, it accelerated. So brought it back down to 70(specs cameras were watching) Tturned button off, jolting deceleration.
A good test for those who wonder what difference it makes. Just ramps up the smaller throttle
inputs, I guess the theory being that you can be more precise as the business end of the map has more throttle range, so you can be more accurate.

You'll be finding its got 6 gears next. :D

Has it :o Difficult to get in to 5th here nevermind 6th - we do have one dual carriageway albeit about 100 yards where you can legally do 70mph

How long have you had your Zed? :poke:

All of 8 months though to be fair I had my previous 3.0 zed for 18 months - never really tried the sport button on that one either

It pops and bangs a bit more on the overrun too which is nice.

I did the throttle reset thingy and it came even more alive. I've never enjoyed commuting so much in my life..... :driving:

Now thinking of doing something with my CDV so I stop kangarooing at the lights.....

And surprise surprise you will get more MPG with the sport button pressed. Doesn't make sense! More fun and less fuel but it does. :D

The Sport button is amazing!
God, I'm getting all wistful about spanking my Zed up the A33 with the roof down on a winter's morning in Sport mode.

.... just off for a cry
