Budget of £13k

Hi,

Used to own a M Roadster - loved that car to bits but had a family needed a bigger car so that had to go :( fast forward a few years later looking to get something a little more fun within my £13k budget, obviously the cheaper the better but if anyone has the following for sale:

E86
Under 100k Miles
2 Keys if possible
Auto - So the wife can drive it - not a big deal if its not just means i drive it more :)
Black / Grey / Silver - Preferable
Black / Red interior - Preferable
Around the Midlands would be great but can travel for the right car.
Service History and valid MOT
ISOFIX / passenger air bag disable button

sDrive35i
Similar to the above but under 80k miles

Prob won’t stretch for sDrive35is but hey if you got one please let me know

thanks for looking :)

Good budget, you should find something suitable, generally less auto E86 but they do come up 👍

These days a 35i should be available at that price with your spec

Mine almost ticks your boxes ... almost. Just not based around the Midlands and priced a bit highet at the mo. I'm south of London on the Surrey border.

Presumably you're not looking for an M anymore, as you're after an Auto.

A good 35 is definitely out there for your budget.

Unfortunately for you, but very fortunately for the new member who bought it, you just missed out on this buy days :?

What car do you have for sale?

If the budget can get an M, I’ll book the wife on a course to practice driving a manual :D

Auto will def be preferred but manual would be okay too just have to get the wife used to driving when I’m in the other car.

Mines not a M 😄. I wasn't sure exactly which you were after until I saw Auto in your ad and deduced it must be the e86 3.0 that you wanted. Mines listed the marketplace https://z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=140482

Have you looked on AT, currently a good choice of private and trade sellers with some nice Coupes if you are happy getting the wife use to a Manual

have been looking on AT this one isn't too far from me https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202205296279016 or this one https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202305077111930 which is also not far from me.

anyone sport anything on either of them on the listing i should be aware of

Iirc that E86 has been flagged, and discussed quite a few times on here. It’s been on sale since 29th of May 2022 so almost a year.

The 35iS looks good, a few toys and mid range stereo, BUT…… for me standard non heated seats would put me off. Living in the U.K. I think heated seats is a must for maximum use and enjoyment of a roadster.

MOT history good but cracked wheel. You’d need to see if repaired or replaced. Early 296’s prone to cracking unfortunately, especially on runflats, which this appears to be.

If everything else checked out and if new seats wanted you were prepared to spend circa £700 for a replacement set and £600 for replacement tyres

As mentioned above that black Coupe has been for sale for quite some time, a chap on here did view it to find that it apparently has no service records, which is a shame as it is one of the last Coupes and appears to have a good spec

Thank you for that - will have to ask the question and see if there is any paperwork of it being repaired/replaced, listing is only 35mins away, so might pop and have a look. Where would i look to get replacement seats? heated seats are always nice to have :)

looking around this morning between work and meetings part of me is leaning towards the S35is but might change as the days/weeks/months of searching for the right one
