Peeps,

It's been a while since I've posted here, but I have come up against an odd situation. A couple of months ago I hit a massive pothole which knocked out my tracking and buckled both OS wheels. The council have accepted responsibility for the damage and asking me for various documents and such. But they have also asked for pictures of the damage to the wheel :? other than some minor nick on the outside. How do I photograph a buckled wheel?
Anyone have a picture of a damaged 35is wheel?

Jack car up, spin wheel whilst filming it, upload to Youtube and send them the link..

Give it your best shot and just send them a picture of the wheel. If they dispute it tell them to come and look, you have the evidence.

Do you know anybody who is in engineering and could loan you a dial indicator?
Or ask the Service Dept to submit a description of the damage - They measure the run-out for attempted claims against BMW so will be able to give a detailed description of the damage.
