BuBye

Folks,

after a year and a half of (more than) happy G29 motoring (and before that, the E89) time for me to move on.

Sold the Z4 last week and moving on to a another brand and a 'sensible' vehicle.

Its been a blast and thanks so much for all the direct and indirect advice and information on the Z4 forums... happy motoring all.

Ah, now I realise what the 'BuBye' means.

It was another lack of care when it comes to typing. Not difficult, is it? :?

So what qualifies as a 'sensible' vehicle? I was sent out to buy a 'sensible' vehicle and came back with another Z4 :w00t:

I kind of understand. I am a 77 year old fart, and love driving my Z4 on twisty roads with little traffic. But it's not the most "sensible" car for everyday, around town, to the grocery sort of vehicle. However, I am not ready to trade or sell it; in fact my 53 year old daughter and SIL drool every time they see my Z, so it will probably start living at their house once I've lost the zest for the sort of driving the Z provides.

My wife drives a BMW 330e, which we used to take on trips, run to the grocery etc, but I ended up getting a Mazda CX-30 this year so we can use it instead of either BMW in bad weather, and for trips, grocery shopping, etc. That way the Beamers can rest quietly in the garage when their performance isn't needed. The Mazda is a fine car for those mundane every-day tasks. Actually it's better than that I suppose, I do enjoy driving it....but not on twisty roads or where I want some spirited acceleration! I will admit it's a lot easier to climb into/out of than my Z4!

Sorry about the HUGE photo, I cannot figure out how to make it smaller or delete it.
Doug
