I phone sky once a year and ask for a new deal - every year I save about £40 a month of what the 'rate card' price would be. I currently get HD, multi room, Movies, Sports and Unlimited Fiber for £90 a month.

As an aside, my Sky Fiber is actually a BT line, installed by a BT engineer into a BT infinity box, which the Sky Fiber box/router then plugs into. I phoned BT recently to enquire about switching from Sky to BT, but was told by the BT call centre that there isn't Fiber available at my address... Go figure.

Simple, get decent broadband and phone if you wanted it.

Then buy one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/121823195732 for circa £40.

Connect to Internet and sky cable and then pay approx £100 a year for full PPV TV including sports and movies, if that's what you want or pay nothing to get all free to air channels such as BBC etc.

Before anyone mentions "morally wrong", or "stealing", take a look at what Wayne Rooney gets paid or the TV revenue the Premier League clubs receive each year. It's no wonder subscriptions go up so much.

Very interesting, this payment of approx. £100 per is made to your broadband/phone provider I assume ? not too many qualms about being morally wrong but are they saying you can receive Sky/ BT / etc without any contract. Perhaps I'm being a bit naïve.

You pay the £60-£100 per year to someone who is basically "sharing" their subscription. No contract, EVERY channel, and the pay per view boxing etc included. Also get an Irish sports channel which has one premier league 3pm kickoff.

I know a number of people have this set up and they can't recommend it enough.

I also know a few people that can't get past the thought that "it's wrong", which is fair enough.
