As far as I know you cant source the windows, they are bonded in place

Sadly I think its a new roof

Seen it before

Honestly after removing a roof last week that’s the route of least resistance was surprised how easy it was

May be a silly question, but is this covered by standard windscreen glass insurance ?

The glass is not available as a spare part from BMW, it is bonded in during the manufacture of the roof. You need to find a second hand roof which are not that expensive (£300) or pay BMW around £4k for a new one.

Gutted for you.....from very recent experience I can concur with much of the above. You won't get a replacement glass for it, believe me i tried.
Going through insurance might lead to them writing off the car given the prohibitive cost - they will probably go to bmw.
I had to travel for my replacement, and the roof and fitting was around the £500 mark. I will end by saying mine was broken by birds dropping stones and I had let my insurance lapse, i know :headbang: ....keep smiling and good luck.

OP I do have a roof with good glass

Prov sold but if it falls thru I’ll let you know

Potentially an excellent result....I had never seen a post about rear windows breaking....at least x 3 in as many months now !

I have a ripped roof that you can have the glass out of, but I really don’t think you’ll manage to re-fit it.

I can however get you a good second hand complete roof from one of my sources and fit it for you in a coupe of hours, I’ll even give you a PX value on your old roof as I can probably salvage a few useable bits from it

Drop me a PM if interested

Roof didn't completely unfold. I applied small pressure and the glass shattered
Small pressure did this?
Whereabout did you push? On the glass? Just wondering, so as to make sure I never do the same...
