You can add us as well, I think the springs were gone when we bought the car, so around 47,000 miles.
How much are the Koni adjustable with Eibach springs? I don't want to go any lower, being in Devon with some of the roads around here! Failing that, where's the best place to get the springs from, a dealership?
Add me to the list. Went in for Oil service today and both rear springs needed replacing. quoted £334.90 inc vat for the springs. I politely declined as im sure i can get them done elsewhere??
Rear drivers side spring broke yesterday and confirmed today at the dealer. Have to wait nearly 4 weeks for replacement. They`ve removed the broken part as it was rattling around at the bottom of the holder.Apparently it is just the bottom of the spring and okay to continue driving
My car also needs a rear propshaft seal which has been on order for over four weeks now due to a bodge up somewhere so both jobs will be done the same time.
I've checked them on our 3.0 03 with 36,000 I've just bought and they are ok but seriously clean; I think they have already been done.
It affects other models too, I have a 54 plate M3 with 25k and I needed to change one, my old man has a 54 M3 too, also with 25ishk and he had two broken. I've been replacing them with Eibach's, seems to actually make the ride better and hardly lowered the car (M3) at all.
Dealership just called, after taking the car in for an exhaust rattle... they've called to tell me a spring has snapped on the back... odd that, as they told me they'd replaced (one? I thought they should do them both) one several weeks ago... either they fibbed, or the other one they didnt replace has now also gone!
Any point going to the local dealer (cooper Reading) and showing them a printout of this thread? Will they say "get the hell out of here" or will they say "looks like a real issue - we'll replace it free of charge"
Btw - 2003 2.5i 40,000 miles rear passanger's side.
