Hi guys ,
Having recently drove to spain for a few weeks the car developed a noise on the back end , after having a look i found the culprit a broken rear spring :x
I leave this side of spain on friday for a tour of picos de europa and then heading back through france to blighty .
Suplex spring 3 years old no corrosion :o
Its going to be a long drive home

Cheers for the reply .
Ive managed to find a local garage they were not hopeful in getting the part over here .
Fingers crossed :) .
Im also looking to source the part as i can fit it as its not a difficult thing to replace .

Hi guys .
I would seem I'm unable to find a spring over here and bmw would have to order one in from Germany with over a week to get it here  .
I have a bit of a lead to possibly a car breakers that may be my only chance before i need to start making my way home to blighty  .

Did you check into any junk yards ? Not sure they have them over there or what they would be called but in the states we call them Junk yards.

We’d call them a breakers or scrap yard rdm05z4. Think the OP is going to try there and see if they have any.
What a place for it to break, whilst on your Spanish tour. Typical huh.
Safe travels.

They are called Desguaces over here. Have you tried ebay.es or amazon.es the Spanish word for spring is muelles or resortes (less common).

Cheers for the heads up guys
I rang a breakers in alecante but no luck , it seems the z is a rare car over here , i have checked ebay es but it seems they all come posted from the uk so none actually in spain  .
Will try Amazon cheers .

Try milanuncios.com as well, they have more local suppliers advertising rather those from UK or elsewhere in Europe.

Pretty sure you could get away with E46 springs as a temporary fix

Thanks silverstar
That milanuncios has given me a place in valencia where i may just be able to get something .

Thanks Mr T .
I will look into that cheers . .
