Broken/snapped hinges on fold down centre flap

Hi all,

Loving the new Z4 3.0si E85 I’ve just bought :)

However, it looks like one careless previous owner has snapped the plastic hinges on the fold down flap in the centre console storage compartment - please kindly see photos below.

Does anyone think this is fixable? Is there a plastic “rod” that runs through the flap that then screws (I found a loose screw on one side) into the hinges?

Looking at the photos, does mine have phone prep? (hence the button on the end and the wiring loom holding it on!?)

Thanks so much for your help :)

George

I have the same problem as you. I took that trim piece apart and didn't manage to fix mine, unfortunately. I saw no easy way of attaching something to the centre storage door that acted like a pin for the hinge and parts of the hinge itself is missing from mine.
