Swapped my wheels about last night to put the nasty bridgstones on the rear and found my n/s rear spring has broken!

Just a quick question, anyone know if the springs are different on the 3.0l to other models?

Is it worth upgrading whilst i'm at it, want to do track days again this year but am using the car every day, and i find it low enough as it is!

Opinions welcome! :poke:

Had thought of this myself. The consensus seems to be that the springs on the 3.0 are as low as the majority want to go. As the likes of Eibach don't offer anything significantly better handling wise, but do lower the car slightly, most people stay on the stock 3.0 springs (m-sport).

Torino, if you haven't already, stop by this thread (spring breakage) and enter your details: http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9219

gannet: Nope, on 225 45 17's front and rear?

Incompatible: Will do

So to confirm, the 3.0l does have different springs as aposed to the other models?

ah ok, 18's have staggered fitment so wouldnt go well with swapping them round...

3.0l cars came with the msport suspension as standard which is lower than the lesser models, by how much Im not so sure...
