broken headlight, looking at angel eyes

hi everyone

Some idiot decided to run into the front of my car, breaking the bumper and 1 headlight.

The bumper is to be removed and fixed and resprayed profesionally but i was looking at swapping both headlights to the angel eyes.

i've searched the forums and found 1 black car with the smoked but it's got black kidneys too mine have a chrome surround

I've seen a few sets on Ebay but has anyone got pics of the smoked or clear chrome fitted to a black Z4 so i can see them? and has anyone any "Trusted" links as to where i can buy from? also i've read some do come with motors and some don't? anyone got a link to the ones with the motors?

nope he's done one :(

well i have 1 good light and 1 slight cracked/fractured light so i'll let ya know how it goes. But i don't want a new original light as it will show up the older 1 so i'd prefer 2 brand new lights so i just want to see how they look and which have the motors before i buy

bumper isn't too bad and the body shop say it's easy to sort out.

whilst i'm at it i've been trying to find new fog lights as mine are full of condensation as they do :/
 
:cough: m bumper... Saves buying new fogs :)

But sorry to hear about the damage.. In presume you dont have xenons?

no they are not xenons on mine. I thought about the M bumper too but i quite like the bumper i have, although i do like the M bumper too lol. I guess if i could find a mint M bumper i might be persuaded
 
Actually makes sense to just go for a M front bumper now (at the right price and condition) it would need to be in mint condition in saphire black so i'm guessing i'd have a hell of a job finding one

does anybody know for certain if i can fit my own auto level from my original lights onto the new ones?
 
I presume you are talking about the Depo after market ones? If so then DrShemming fitted some although his car is Sterling grey he posted some pics. There was also an American member with a black hatchback that fitted the chrome ones recently. I'll see if i can find the links for you tonight.

I think the aftermarket lights look more modern than the OEM ones but sadly I can't fit them as I have xenons.
 
Yes more modern, but too much of an aftermarket 'maxpower' look for me

i've seen a few pics recently, not sure they are the same pics....cheers though always welcome new pics :)

I quite like the look of them and the price is decent.

just need the M bumper now seein as it's gotta be fixed and resprayed anyway. I've never used the levelling device for the lights either so i'm really not to fussed about that now

only thing now is do i go smoked or clear :?
 
If you have the levelling wheel inside then you have xenons so the aftermarket angel eyes will be a straight swap. I'm almost positive they have the levelling motor but best to check with someone who has them. Why not send Drsheming a PM for info on his. I'm sure he'll be happy to answer your questions.
