Broken Cupholder

Not sure why but I popped out the drivers side cupholder this morning only to find the arm has snapped on it. Crappy german car - honestly, how they managed to catch my grandfather all those years ago I will never know....

No idea how I broke it since I have never used it. Annoyingly now its rattling and I guess I need to replace it. Anyone have any idea how much one is and how easy it is to fit one?

Meh honestly - thanks for that. Bit shocked to see that BMW dont fit these things as standard - its only grey plastic "tat".....thats going to cost me about £25 to replace now... :x

When I picked mine up last year and got it home and was playin on driveway I found my driverside cupholder had snapped. Got mine done under warranty, and took bout 10mins I think. Never used it tho, but that's not the point. LOL

I've owned my Z4 for six years now and continue to be amazed that a company that can design a double VANOS can not make a useful cup holder. What a flimsy piece of crap! I've never used either of mine for fear of two things: I could easily see that I would spill the beverage getting into or out of the car or I would break the cup holder.

push the panel under the air vents on each side of the car and you will soon find out...

That would be a no then :( One would appear on a spring if fitted.

Just like Zeberdee :D

I had the drivers side cupholder fixed for the THIRD time under warranty. asked the dealer what I could do about it once the warranty was over and the best he could suggest was not to use it!
