Hi everyone, I need help!
This is my first post on here so Hi! I own a Grey 2007 Z4 2.5si - I pulled forward from a parking space and incorrectly assumed that my space was like all the others in view - connected. (i.e. nothing to stop me pulling from one space to the opposite one)
SO, I've pulled forward and heard a CRUNCH. Totally unaware of there being a hidden, and might I add, pointless curb I reversed at the same slow speed of 2-3 mph and heard further crunching. I got out to inspect the sounds and I had found that I've pulled the driver's side of the front bumper off!! The plastic on the underside has broken, and the teeth that clip the bumper to the plastic have snapped. The bracket that secures the bumper cover in place (near the wheel arch) has snapped clean off also.
I didn't get anywhere near far enough to the curb to touch the wheels, and it was not an impact that in my mind should warrant significant damage to the car/chassis.
I would appreciate help and advice on what to do next, and whether the initial quote of £1700 is fair and likely to be accurate? I personally think the price is ridiculous. What do you guys think?
I have broken down and listed the initial estimate of the repair below:

Impact damper = £23.67
o/s/f inner extension bracket = £11.56
o/s/f arch liner = £91.56
front center undertray = £94.25
o/s/f/ undertray extension = £122.42
Undertray fittings = £12.36
Sundries = £15.20
4-wheel steering alignment check = £75.00 - *Not having this done as a waste of money*
