Broken Boot Stop Lamp

OK so its completely my fault !
I reversed my beloved Z into the garage door and the garage door handle was just the right height to break the stop lamp in the boot lid !
Gutted !

OK so I know nothing about anything at all ever to do with cars !

How much is a new one (red) ?

Is it something a complete idiot like me could have a go at ?

You were lucky it was the light, rather than the paintwork....
Ive never fitted one but I beleive they're about £55-£60 (supplied only) at the Dealers.

Thanks Number 5 - and you are right I was lucky it wasn't the boot lid that got damaged !!!
I assume the light is a couple of bolts (why do I know this is going to be a nightmare)

Easy to fit yourself mate, takes 10 mins tops with simple tools.

Make sure you order new springs too.

£60 ish for the light at dealer plus springs i think.

A clear light is cheaper too if you like them

Brilliant Thanks hopz121 - do I need to order the black rubber seal or does that come with the light as I have damaged that as well ?

Need the deep socket set for that, I bought that from Halfords for a fiver I think. Replaced the light within a minute, the coffee which was poured was not even cold yet
