British Airways Avios Thank You Appeal

I got an E-mail from BA on Monday about this.

BA has started a scheme to give away Avios points to NHS workers so they can enjoy a break once they finally get to take one, and say they have put up over 200 million points to kick start the appeal. The points can be used for flights, but also for trips to the theatre and accommodation in the UK.

Anyway they are asking their "Executive Club" members to donate to the cause.

Years ago when I last had a proper job I accrued some from business travel and kept them topped up with the Shell Driver's Club scheme, although that has sadly finished.

So with any travel looking like a distant prospect, and even when it is allowed I won't be rushing abroad, I donated my points so that they can go to a really deserving cause.

If anyone has any they can donate you should find a link on the BA Executive Club website.

Nice gesture but NHS workers aren't working for free, they're getting paid for their work.

If that was my career path I'd have to do the same.

I feel sorry for the millions who have or are going to be losing their jobs in the near future, through no fault of their own.

They are probably able to fund it from the money they withheld on refunds when Covid kicked off... £300 out of pocket and will never use them again :headbang:
