This was my very first outing with my 450d and kit lens.

When i arrived my mind went blank so forgot a lot of what i had read.

Decided to set the camera to TV mode that way i could control the shutter speed and slow things down which i enjoyed especially around the pit lane freezing all the action.

Tried some panning shots aswell need lots more practice at this but still good fun.

First few pics are over-exposed, however the panning shots are very good and you should be really please getting those results from a kit lens. Panning shot is one of the hardest shots, so again well done.

Thanks for comments on panning shots its a killer on the back :(

The over-exposed shots were annoying as i had been playing around with the camera elsewhere at the track and forgot i had changed the ISO to 800 so i knew i cocked up those shots took loads of that stop lots of action around the car :x all part of the learning process.

Going to buy this lens very soon http://www.martinscamerashop.co.uk/canon-ef-s-55-250mm-f4-56-is-244-p.asp will make a nice starter lens had thought about a longer reach but more than double the money just need to find out which are the trusted sites to purchase from.

GAZA62, like the refueling pics but the panning ones are superb!

Reference the expose on the first ones, have you got an editing package? Amazon have a deal on PhotoShop Elements which would allow you to tune that out at home.

Great photos, even more so knowing how long you've had the camera
