brilliant but bumpy

Hi all, been lurking for a while now and find this to be a very good forum. I Always fancied a convertible and having drove a 325ci sport for a couple of years thought i'll stick to bmw's ,so having no children yet ,i decided to go for a z4.
Took me a couple of months .Now i know you can get cheaper one's but buying from a main dealer is safer for me ,having been stung a few years back,so paying a wee bit more i don't mind. And i couldn't find one with this amount of kit...well anyway here goes ...2003 53 black saphire ,108's,dream red oregon leather, heated seats, wind deflector, bluetooth, professional sat nav,6 disc changer, xenon's,extended storage, green tint strip(?) tracker, one lady owner with only 33k miles, never seen a mechanical car wash and valeted every week so absolutely mint.Had the car a month now and enjoying every minute ,though it has a very bumpy ride.It threw a coil pack last week but a bmw tech came to the house and changed it there and then in 10 min,so happy with that.
All i need to do now is wear down the rear tires a bit :driving: then change them to falkens i have in the garage, also try and beef up the sound system a tad(no carver).
Well nice to meet you all and hopefully i'll become a useful member on this forum

Welcome - sounds like a great car you have there.

Ride is not generally descibed as 'bumpy' but can be harsh on the run flats and if you have the 3.0 (which you don't specify) it has the M sport suspension

Welcome :driving:

Bumpy compared to what though?!! I find the ride better than my previous car (a Seat Ibiza Cupra) but the limited suspension travel on the Z4 does make itself noticed at times.

Welcome, thats good colour combo, black with red leather interior
I find the M sport suspension is firm but not unduly harsh.

Thanks for the welcome guys..yes the car is indeed a 3.0 manual. The car i had before ,a 325 ci on 19's i felt the ride was pretty hard but the zed is on another level, must be the runflats. To tell the truth i don't really fancy the 108's so on the lookout for ellipsoids
