:D As per the title, anyone got experience with these?.... they seem to be getting reasonable reviews and i can get 4 at a decent price. I'm after something with stiff sidewalls. 265/30/19 rears, 235/35/19 fronts. Opinions please ladies and gents...

Used to love the old S01 and S02 Pole Positions, but that was on a FWD car with 250bhp. The replacement S03 was pants.

How much are the S001 in those sizes?

The consensus on here says:
  • 1) Michelin SuperSport
    2) Goodyear F1A 2
    3) Continental SportContact 5
    4) Vredestein Sessanta/Vorti

...but all these were beaten in the latest AutoBild tyre test (in similar sizes to yours on a new M4) by:
  • 5) Hankook Ventus S1 Evo

One thing the test didn't measure was tyre wear/life - so they may perform 20% better than the SuperSport but might last half as long?

Ok.... so, i have'nt come across anyone with experience on the bridgestones so i've gone for a full set of P-Zero's.... 265/30/19 rears 235/35/19 fronts. Had these on a 320bhp saab turbo i owned a few years ago and they were brilliant so i've stuck with what i know and played safe!.. :D

I had a full set 225/40 and 256/35, rears lasted 7000 miles with a very even wear across, the tyre front look like they will do 10000 I found them hard and a bit noisy changed to Goodyear asymetrics I like these more, quieter and more comfortable but it will take me two years to compare wear.

Tried goodyear assymetrics on a friends car i borrowed for a few days and to be quite honest i would'nt put them on a shopping trolley let alone a z4!.... really cannot see what all the fuss is about but hey, tyres are a very subjective thing, what works for one person does'nt neccesarily work for another, we're all different. :D

A tad late as you've already made a purchase but I'm running the S001's at the moment and they're brilliant tyres.

I had them fitted late Sept/Oct time and they coped really well through the winter. As the temps are getting warmer the tyres seem to be rising to the challenge. There's been times where I've almost expected the back end to slip but the car has stayed planted and the tyres continue to surprise me with the amount of grip they produce. Gives you real confidence when you need it

I came from the original run flats to these and as with any normal tyre the tramlining is non existent now. I know they're not the most popular going by the lack of comments but I'd definitely be giving these a go again.
