Bridgestone Potenza Runflats

Just got my Z4 E85 back after an MOT, O/S Front tyre needed replacing and they've put on a Non-Runflat...it seems they're hard to come by...?
225/50R16 92v, I know I should swap them, any ideas where I buy a new one?
Thanks

I don't think they are that hard to find! When I wanted a pair of 17" Pirelli run-flats for my 3 Series last year my usual tyre place had them in stock.

Even if they aren't in stock, most tyre places can normally get them the next day. Try your usual tyre place, or you could order online from someone like blackcircles.

You definitely don't want to be driving it with one of each on the front! :o

Did the garage which replaced the tyre tell you before they replaced it they were going to put the wrong tyre on?

Mixing a runflat on one side with a non-runflat on the other is really dangerous to the point of being liable.... the garage really should have known better. I would be back there in a flash.... and never go there again!

And when it is all done and dusted, please let me know which garage that was.
I'm near Norwich and I certainly don't want to be going there!!!!
As stated above, mixing them across one axle is potentially dangerous. Any self-respecting garage operator should have known that.

Has anyone mixed Runflats and Non Runflats between the Front and Rear axles, is there a preference if I need to, Runflats Front or Rear...?

I'd like to know what garage that was so I can stay well clear, that's bloody diabolical, I'd be returning and demanding my money back and taking the car for tyre replacement to someone who knows what they are doing. That is totally unacceptable and bloody dangerous.

I honestly think, if the facts are right, that the garage should be reported to the DOT. How many other cars have they sent out with a valid MOT that are that dodgy?

Apparently if the tyres are all the same size, then it will pass an MOT, it seems the Bridgestone's I'm after are no longer made, a local tyre place could get me one in June...so I'm thinking of replacing both front tyres with Non Runflats and leaving my hardly used ones on the rear, all for the sake of one replacement, do I really need to replace all the tyres... :headbang:

Non runflat > runflat.

Hey Daniel,
It’s always a pain to get Bridgestone Potenza runflats but I recently found ‘Bush Tyres’ ([email protected]) that had them and delivered the very next day! I only needed one for the rear drivers side but it was simple to order and a great price at £131.00. Check their website if your still having issues.

I have no probs getting the Potenza run flats and they are a hell of a lot cheaper than a few years ago but as above that is not acceptable what that garage did far from it.
