Which is basically all this bloke has to offer. Yes! Yes you! Are you "how shall we put this" A brick shy of a full load? A little shallow but have a lot cash? Then you have what it takes to buy a Breitling watch. Yes! You too can own a watch coveted by a shallow and monied former athlete that can't say no to yet another tattoo. That's what that advert says. Can't Breitling sell a watch based on how good they are? Breitling would have been better served by using an anonymous RAF fighter pilot, Or a civilian Eurofighter test pilot. Perhaps a Yachtsman that relies on time for navigation calculations. Doesn't Breitling have an aircraft race team? But they choose a footballer. Yikes!

Breitling is a business. Businesses want to make big profits.
Who do you think is going to get them more sales? David Beckham or an RAF fighter pilot?
Carol M said:My husband has a Breitling and it didn't matter who's face was advertising it when it was bought. It wouldn't have made one bit of difference.
BUT, as I said, they are a profit driven business and they'll employ whoever they think is going to sell more watches for them and that, in my opinion, isn't a 'real' person.
These businesses generally tend to know what they're doing with marketing.
Which is why Beckham is very likely a good call.
