Sorry to butt in on your thread but I am interested in what happens to the rest of the car once you have got rid of all the useable 'parts'?

Do you have to pay a scrapper, or do they pay you for the scrap value? Is it a case of just filling the V5 to scrap it, or is there more to it?

A chap local to me collects it on his lorry with a hiab. He has a licence to dispose of all the fluids etc. He pays me for it. He takes the V5 as well.
Once he has got what he wants from it, he then takes it to a local scrap metal company and weighs it in with them.
I get a certificate of disposal from him, usually within 3-4 days of him taking it away.

I'd love to see a photo of the front undertray if that is possible. It's the one from just behind the front lip spoiler to the cross-member.

According to realoem the M one is different, but I'd like to see how different as BMW want £197+VAT for a new one.

Yup, I was trying to keep it watertight inside as long as possible, but now at the point of starting on the inside, so should have it for you in the next couple of days. Don't worry, got your name on it.

Next offering from the poor old 4-pot:
A pair of excellent condition rear lights.
I'd say full working order but tbh, every time I jumped out and ran to the back the brake lights had gone out again. But no-one ever ran into the back of me so they must be working?
As usual I referred to eBay for a price guide. Are they mad??

Mirror is going complete with the door to [ref]IdejZ4[/ref], unless you can sort a deal with him?
I may have a door handle trim in the boxes but not off this car
Bumper bracket is going with the wings, already sold to [ref]Alan-G[/ref]
Doesn't have the isofix stuff, so no switch or light, sorry.
