Breaking 2003 E85 Sterling Grey 2.5 Manual

Hi all, I'm finally getting around to breaking my SG E85 before I send it off to be turned into cans as it's simply too far gone to be worth saving at this point - not looking to remove everything but I think I'm comfortable with these for now. Price negotiable as I've no idea what they're worth - will double check any offers to make sure I'm not being taken the micky out of though :P

- E46 M-Sport heated manual seats (passenger seat occupancy sensor is a bit sensitive and the seatbelt alarm will go off even with a bag or two of shopping, so a workaround is included )

- Front headlights (driver's side has a brand new adjustment motor and the dipped beam + sidelight bulbs are brand new)

- Rear lights (they've both had new gaskets)

- Centre brake light

- Side indicators (driver's side is brand new but I've not sorted a badge) / surrounds

- Too many interior bits to individually list

- Wind deflector (the leather style one)

- Wing mirrors

- Parcel shelf

- Brand new Lemfoerder rear lower control arms and bushes to rear trailing arm + genuine BMW hardware

- Brand new Sachs dampers (SE spec I think? - SACHS 312 468) with Lemforder top mounts, Elring gasket, Vaico bump stop+dust covers and genuine BMW hardware

- Brand new Sachs front strut bump stops + dust covers
Literally still in their box so take this Autodoc picture

Anything else open to negotiation for sure though!

Collection from NG31 preferred for most - some bits can be posted though of course.

I’ve seen the car and can vouch for Michael being a decent chap!!

Shame it’s a breaker but I do agree it’s too far gone underneath

First refusal on rear lemforder bars and the sachs rear shocks? Would need them posted. Price please? Many thanks.

Location? Potentially interested in passenger front wing

Edit: just seen your location, you’re nearly 3 hours from me :(

Run some numbers based on buying the same parts new from Autodoc (on a 40% sale day) and BMW for the hardware and lopping an additional chunk off, I'm thinking
£130 + postage for the rear shock assemblies
£60 + postage for the rear lower control arms + bushes and hardware

Call it £175 + postage for the lot in one go?

Whereabouts? I get around...

How much and where are you based??
Front or rear?

Fronts you can have for a tenner + postage, rears under offer to kis in this thread at present

Based in Grantham, NG31 but I get around - including to Leicester usually once a week (figured it was relevant based on your being in Warks).

Rust? Subframe?
Where to begin
Biggest things that contributed to it not worth it for me to continue fixing are a whining rear diff, a broken handbrake mechanism, a non-communicating power steering module, electrical harness bodging, a misfire, and a literal hole in the B pillar - and that's before you start drilling down even further :|

It's a shame your car is not worth saving OP. :(

I may be interested in those floor mats. What sort of quality are they and do they fit the OE mounting pads?
It looks like you have cup-holders - what would you want for those?
A couple of black covers for the screws on the centre console would be handy too!

Collection may be possible as I'm visiting Scotland next week.

Hi, iam interested in the Gear knob and possibly the wind deflector. is the gear knob a KHP and if so what sort of price are you looking for these items.

It is indeed - need to update the PH thread at some point but there is a LOT to cover :?
The floor mats are pretty garbage quality imo and I'd probably only recommend them if you don't have anything already - don't mount iirc but I'll double check. Free if collected! I'll even give em a clean ;)
Re the cupholders/screw covers, used prices are all over the place so feel free to make me an offer!

Gearknob is genuine BMW 25117896031 - seem to be about £70 new, I'd take £40 or nearby offers?
Wind deflectors of this type seem to go for about £200-250 used, much more than I was expecting to see! Would take £175 for a quick sale to a forum member?

Ooh, I have a sister spec/age car that I've decided to fix up a bit more this year. Happy to collect and/or remove parts. Also appreciate some of these have first dibs in the thread already, can I have second (or third) dibs please? :P

I'm interested in the following, what would you want for it please?

- Passenger front wing - this is the main one for me, if there's no rust showing on the arch
- Bump stops + dust covers (fronts & rears)
- Bonnet/front badge
- Behind the driver's seat there's a small grill, RealOEM lists it as "Grille, rear ventilation" or part 3 on this diagram
- Cargo net in passenger footwell

Hello!

- Passenger front wing
Sadly rust has already broken through the paint on the lip, can send a picture tomorrow nonetheless. Welcome to it for free if you remove it yourself!

- Bump stops + dust covers
Front or rear? You're in the queues either way

- Grille, rear ventilation
£5 each

- Bonnet/front badge
Just to be clear - are you talking about the bonnet itself or just the badge?
£15 takes the badge

- Cargo net in passenger footwell
£15

Thanks for your honesty about the mats - I'll give them a miss!

Would £50 + postage work for the cup-holders and screw covers, depending on how many covers you can remove in one piece!

Yeah that works for me, gimme the weekend to remove them and we'll see where we are :)

Thanks for your quick reply, but wind deflector is a little pricey for me. i will give both a miss thanks.
I mean, the first post says the price is negotiable so feel free to ping a counter-offer :)

Passenger door, paint code A08. Any rust, condition? Cost? :) :D :D
Condition is pretty good! Only thing worth calling out is a couple of typical door edge chips, some scratches that I reckon will buff out and a dent so small that I had a challenge photographing it (it's just above my finger in the photos). No rust. Cost will depend on if you are willing to remove it yourself and collect. I'll initially pitch at £60 including the door handle and the door card if you were to remove it yourself and collect.

No problem. I'm heading up to Scotland on Tuesday for a week, so if I don't reply quickly please don't think I'm not interested!

Brian, this is Sterling Grey. Yours is Silver Grey (Silber Grau) which I believe is only a facelift colour?
