Looking a good turn out for this, anyone doubting, don't, it's a good venue, loads of room inside and out, and top full brekkies.

Agree John it's a good venue,
just for future reference and options I drove past the Eyre arms at Calver crossroads This week.
I noticed it's all back up and running again with new owners. Will have to pop in and see what the foods like..

It's changing hands more than a game of Poker Jim. Just has a full refurb, new guy lasted barely a year. I really can't see it carrying on as a traditional pub, no beer garden or play area. The Wheatsheaf in Baslow has both and does very well, it's packed in summer. It's only your run of the mill fodder, albeit quite good, but that's all folks with kids want, huge play area and lots of tables, nice gravel paths, beach style huts. Unless it diversifies I can't see it ever making a dollar. A shame, it was my haunt as a teen.

Probably won't bother then, the Travelers at Hope was very good last time I went. I haven't been to the June classic car meet for a couple of years though.

I could pop up and see my old man in Stoke then pop over before heading back down to Cambridge. Put me down as a possible please.

Can you stick me down as a possible please Mark? Depends on whether wife is working that morning.

@Rusky - if you do decide to see the old man, give me a shout and we could convoy over from Stoke.
Longnor / Monyash run to Bakewell is always a good one on a sunny morning!

Cheers
