There is a group of BMW Z's going. Sam has said that he will bring the Z1 out for this event. He should be in town as he knows it.

We will have 2 photographers in attendence.

We are looking to take a pic with a Z1, Z3C, Z3R, Z4C, Z4R, and a Z8. This pic has never been taken as I know it. I belong to a BMW world wide forum that has been talking about such a pic for two years and still do not have one.

I am still looking to hear from a Z8. I contacted Scott to see if he could help in this area.

Z1 is a for sure.!!!!!!!!!!!!

And what time is this momentous pre-gathering of Zeds set for?
Jokuhl; now that I've washed and waxed my car, I must go. (Now if I can only keep it clean.)

It's about time that some of you will come down to San Diego... :D Anyways, any of you want to meet up somewhere earlier, and only a few minutes from Balboa Park so that we can drive in all together?
Hey 1st, have you got your suspension installed yet?

Unfortunately not.. :(

I spoke to Dinan last week to inquire of why my order was taking longer than usual. I was told that there were no "performance springs" remaining in their inventory to complete my Stage 3 kit, and more had to be manufactured. I was further told that my suspension kit should be completed, shipped and should arrive by March 20th. Arrgh!! At least, my TMS rear adjustable control arms are in transit & will arrive on Tuesday. It was disappointing to know of the delay, but all in all, and in the end I should have the entire suspension & BBK installed for the Poppy Fields Drive... :driving:

I am off today and planned to wash the car. I have not washed ROADCAR yet, and today it looks like it may rain! I have a car cover to keep my car cleaner longer.

ROADCAR is not greenish is IS Oxford Green (metallic), since others are proclaiming their colors thought I would chime in too! :headbang:

yeah......what is up with the "ish" on the color of the cars.....silverish? greenish? blueish? blackish too? :chairfight:

Here are my thoughts...

Since the event starts at 7:00 a.m. and the parking lot gets full pretty quick. May I recommend for those arriving from out of town & whom also reside in and around the Central & Northern parts of San Diego we first meet at the Starbucks @ the location previously mentioned above at 6:00 a.m. do a quick meet & greet, then roll out @ 6:15, from there it will be a short 10-12 min. drive to the second meeting point to the Southerly parking lot off of Village Place & Park Blvd. This parking lot is right next to the San Diego Natural History Museum….Hopefully all the Z’s attending will be at this meeting point at about 6:30….
From there the San Diego Automotive Museum is just a hop, jump, and skip away. Again, I think we should be at the B@B all in force & parked at least 10-15 minutes early… :D

So what are everyone else’s thoughts on this?

Sounds good to me....always ready for a "hop, jump, and skip." That is, after my coffee. :D

Sounds like a good plan. If I'm going to get up stupid early anyway, I might as well be there a 1/2 hour earlier.

How many gas stops will be required for your trip down? The trip should be about 125 miles one way for you and it should take you about 45 min to get to Orange. :P
