Break pad lights

Hi Guys, just completed a looong drive and my break pad light has come on, now I am about 150 miles from home :cry: How long do I have before I shouldn't drive the car prior to changing? Will I be able to make it home with them?
 
If you mean the brake pad light then you'll be fine. The whole point is it's a warning not a haha it's too late. Get it sorted when you get back. It does mean there's only a few mm left though so best not go for a balls out hoon.
 
As long as your route home does not include 100 laps of Cadwell Park, then you should be fine.

Although I was at Oulton Park last year when the brake pad warning light came on. I thought I'd have enough for a couple laps and then the drive home. Didn't even make another lap before the rest of the material flew off as I was braking from 110mph, downhill into Hislops/Knickerbrook.

Metal to metal seems to stop okay, although obviously not as well as pad material to metal :oops:
