Break disc/pad advice

Hi guys,

I'm looking to change my discs and pads all round this weekend, as well as my rear bearing and drop links all round.

My question is, what discs/pads should i be looking at?

On Euro part they have a number of options, I was thinking brembo as they have a good reputation, but what about the others? Paigd etc?

I've used pagid before with no problems but you won't get the slotted/drilled look that people like these days :?

Just fitted Bosch discs and pads, front and rear,the quality is superb.
Brakes are now fantastic with excellent bite even from cold.

If you stick with Pagid, Bosch or Brembo you'll be fine as they are OEM suppliers. ECP always doing 30%. I suspect a lot of the discs no matter what the brand will come from the same 3rd party foundry to get a decent production run. (I seriously doubt Bosch or even Brembo own their own foundry)
 
I put Brembo coated disks and Brembo pads on mine last year I really can't fault them and less dust than
the pagids, I got them from BuyCarParts.co.uk they was much cheaper than Euro or GSF

Just ordered brembo discs and pads all round, a new rear bearing and New brembo break fluid.

Nice little job for Saturday morning :)
 
if your doing your rear drop links do the rear ARB bushes at the same time. And order the bush criers from BMW as you old ones will be all rusty and nasty and they are cheap enough :thumbsup
 
Can this job be easily done by just having the car on axle stands? Not done this since I did them on my Ford Fiesta years ago! Any specialist tools?
