Had a cracking day out with my daughter today watch the last round of the BTCC. A great view from the Paddock Hill grandstand and how all the cars make it round the first bend never ceases to amaze me :o

A cracking days racing wasn't it ? All the support races were very entertaining also. I watched it all on ITV4. Well done Shedden again but disappointed for Tordoff....just 2 points between them ! Hope Tordoff stays in the BTCC next season.

Was watching the last couple of races this afternoon on the TV, some good races and some sunshine into the bargain - Did your daughter enjoy the racing Paul?.....

...............Next Father and daughter trip Le Mans 2017 8)

It was a cracking day and the weather a welcome bonus
It's always a good meet being the last of the season and 'car care' being less important  all the support was well worth watching too with a crash or two for thrills :D
My daughter like the racing Stu but not as much as she liked Matt Neal's shunt and the chips, sweets and doughnuts

As for you Mr Bear, I bet you've been in a EVERY gravel trap :P

Sounds like you had a good day OP!

Brands is one of the better tracks for spectating - with the elevation changes you can see more of the track from one place than the former airfield circuits like Silverstone, etc. and Paddock Hill is a good choice (plus near the Pentagon for refreshments)!

Why does Mr Bear go for gravel - is he heading for the woods?

I've done a few track days (and my ARDS test) at Brands and always stayed on the black bits (or wasn't I trying hard enough)?

I was riding a Yamaha tzr250 which is inherently less stable than a car, that's my excuse anyway :P

Oh right, 2 wheels on a race track does make things a bit more buttock clenching - even gravel is pretty challenging!

From the photos I thought it may have been a Lotus.

The pic was taken from my Elise, the gravel trip incident was from an earlier visit by motorcycle

Oh right - hope you kept the Elise out of the kitty litter!

Brands GP circuit has to be one of the best I have done as a track day - the back part is amazing!

I love Brands. It's my local track and I've done both the Indy and GP on a bike. The feeling of getting Paddock right and then dropping it down and round for Druids is just awesome.

Graham Hill is my demon as I almost highsided in the wet there at quite a highspeed.
