Brands Hatch Track Day

Morning all, thought I would share some videos from my track day on Monday. Seems like the Z4 Coupe is a very composed car on track. Only issues I was having on the day was abusing the yellow stuff pads, time to move onto something harder that can take the heat better.

This video is me and my mate playing around. We took it in turns to chase but his poor MX5 didn't stand a chance. I thought he would out handle me in the corners but he didn't.

where that one ends a bystander got another view

Good work mate, good to see you're getting the coupe on track - they're a right hoot! :D

I have to say brands does look like quite a fun track too - how was traffic on your day?

Looks like a great day LEE, maybe time for a BBK :)

True but I found the brakes really good. It just need some better pads. If I struggle after better pads I'll hunt for a stoptech kit

Traffic was ok mate, Bit of an issue when the wife was driving but I managed to stay in front of it all :driving:

Hi Joycey,

Good to meet you both on Monday, your Coupe looked great, was pleased the occasional puff of smoke was just a drip on the manifold. I was there doing a bit of coaching and driving my work colleagues Mini Cooper S as practice ahead of her first ever race in 3 weeks time. You think you had braking issues? I can tell you that standard R53 brakes are awful, just too weedy.

If on a budget maybe try Blue Stuff as the next step up? :)

Like wise, good to put a face to a name. The valvetronic seal leak has been driving me mad for months. It only weeps under hard driving. Now you mention the mini I think I passed one with a pink roof a few times.

I have asked EBC if they can do some blue stuffs for me failing that its the feroddo's, apparently i was giving the car to much abuse but it was loving it  :driving:

It didn't look like you were to me - just giving it it's head!

Thanks for posting the clips - it looks like you had a great day. :driving:

Looks like fun. :D Did anything actually over take you? :driving:

Come to think of it nope :o I think a Ginetta GT3 car went past at some point. The coupe appears to be a very good track weapon.

Yes, it is rather slow, plus it was Hannahs first time at Brands! I did one long session by myself when I hoped to see you out on track, if for no other reason than to get you some video, but although we were both apparently out at the same time neither of us caught each other up.

Should of given me the nod. I went out with the V8 and he couldn't keep pace. I'll give you a shout for the next track day. I'm trying to get one more in before the end of the year.
