Brand New 265/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 Tyres

cheers both, I think it's probably just the wrong time of year to be selling them. I'm off on business next Monday for 5 weeks though, so I'll try again in March I think, when the sun is starting to come out more and people are starting to look at trackdays.

Might be as people don’t know you very well yet and they can’t be sure of where they have come from and that they don’t come with a guarantee if they are found to be faulty once fitted.

That's fair enough, I understand but if people are worried they can ask for some links and see I've been a member on Pistonheads and the CSL register for a very long time. I can't magic a few hundred Z4M related posts from nowhere I'm afraid.

I purchased these last year at a good price with the intention of using them over a number of trackdays, work got busy, I went to the Nurburgring but did no other trackdays and now these tyres are surplus and I've also bought a GT86 which I intend to track rather than the CSL so I'm definitely not going to use them.

The price I'm offering for a pair, depending where you look, is around £150-200 discount. This, in my view, covers the lack of warranty/guarantee.

Are you interested in buying? You seem to have made me an offer, I've sent you a PM to negotiate but you'd rather come back to the thread to cast doubt over me and the tyres I'm trying to sell? I'm not sure what your intentions are.
If you want some, please do contact me and please do collect them. I'm available this weekend and then I'm away until March so it will be your last chance for a while.

Nah, not casting doubt just highlighting some points as to why they might not of sold as quickly as you’d of liked. Just trying to help you mate. Also that they didn’t sell on the forums where you are a member before joining here might leave people in doubt aswell.
I know you can’t magic posts.
I hope that you change your view of myself, as I was just trying to help you and not derail your sale.
I offered you a price that I thought was fair for someone I don’t know and for tyres with no warranty, you countered. It’s all good. I wish you all the best with your sale.
All the best mate.

I was going to say (I thought it might be the same and it seems so) that I think chappers can be vouched for certainly from the register.
As for warranty on a tyre, I've personally never even knew such a thing existed really, you wear them out and throw them in the skip, they don't tend to break?
If only they were 18" I'd bite your hand off, it's a fine price.

I wasn’t questioning him. I think some may that’s why these haven’t flown out the door. As for the warranty part I mean I bought brand new Goodyear’s for the mrs’s Jcw one was faulty after it was fitted and it was replace and fitting charge paid for by black circles. I hope this has cleared up any misunderstanding and we can leave mr chappers to sell his tyres. Again, all the best!

Sure, I guess like anything they do fail, but it's not something that's ever crossed my mind weirdly. The worst I've ever really come across is fed 595 rsr-s cracking, but even then it doesn't (apparently) affect the performance of the tyre.
What was faulty about the goodyear out of interest, at the risk of derailing this thread...

ETA: I suspect the reason they haven't 'flown' out is that they're a relatively extreme tyre in size that not many are running, and you'd need to buy some fronts at full price, which ain't cheap. Still, if you want the (possibly) best tyres it's a cheap way in.

Ran the tyre for 10 mile a section 2”x3” went really rough in the centre of the tread pattern and made a terrible noise which got louder and worse with increased speed. New one on and after switching fronts for backs last year the tyres will of been on three years in August and done over 20000 mile from Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2’s. I have the same tyres on the M and asymmetric 3s on my Workhorse. Would love to replace the M with asymmetric 2’s but am struggling to find front and rear in csl sizes.

Fair enough, that don't sound good!
Mr Wilks is probably the man to ask in this situ, has he come across any tyre failures over the many wheel/tyre combos?

Tyre was replaced August 2015. With Mr Wilks’ guidance I may try some Vreds instead of my trusted Goodyear’s for my M this year. Anyway enough of this let’s leave this thread as it should be. A for sale thread. GLWTS

Actually... Through my job I see literally hundreds of tyres used, some for just an hour at a time and in 8 years neither I nor any of my colleagues have experienced a failure that I know of. Wheels however have broken a few times that I know of!
