The car is a Sept 2016 35is and the front brakes look like this - can somebody look at theirs and compare please?
I just feel like mine are missing a cover - they just look un-finished to me somehow.

The new Z5 will have huge blue or yellow callipers with 'M' logos all over. Fashion these days, the Z4s brakes are functional but lack any bling.

I had mine sprayed up to make them interesting, silver hubs/callipers and gold clips

Normal. But the rears will be rusty in weeks unless you paint them

Hope you are well .. this is how they are straight from the factory, just keep them clean or paint like others have said.
You can get some nice front upgrade kits if you where interested .
