Brakes sticking

After stopping, then starting to go, I feel my brake pad (pads) sticking. Always happens. Z has 53,000 miles on 2007 year. Don't know what pad or when replaced but they must be cheap, cheap, cheap as I get Lots of dust. I'm planning on replacing with ceramic pads and of course fluid flush. Do you think it may be a caliper problem and I should go ahead and get kits to rebuild those while at it.?

Yes it sound like a sticky caliper. New calipers are cheap so wouldn’t bother with spending time and money on rebuilding one

Had a sticky caliper on mine, new one was 30 quid.
Can I ask where you got them for £30?
Any links?

Thanks.

There are some generics on Ebay for about £25 a piece or £48 a pair https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/352241079498
They are rough cast and are non branded generics so if you want ATE then you will need to pay BMW prices.

Are the generic ones any good?

I bought a pair and when they turned up they were ATE and I sent my old ones back for a refund. I believe they were actually advertised as Pagid, but it was a while back now

Mine arrived today so will be able to tell you in a couple of weeks. Im painting them up first before swapping the ones over on my car. If you check my "Making MOT Man Happy" thread you will see i tried to refurbish one of my old ones and messed up the bleed screw and took for ever to de rust them so i have decided to buy new ones off ebay and paint those then refurbish my ones and get those sold on ebay to make some money back.

When I bust my bleeder I had to get an emergency ECP calliper was pagid like Enuff_zed said https://www.eurocarparts.com/p/pagid-caliper-133110571 but i was not happy with the finish on mine as it was very pitted from where it had been de rusted and was actually worse than the calliper I messed up.

Will see If I can get some good pics of the ECP caliper without having to take my wheels off.
