Brakes options

Come to the point where I need to replace my rear pads. So while I'm at it thought I would ask about.

I have the 3.0i E89 Msport, anyone have some recommendations for decent pads that I can get on sharpish?
I'm also looking at upgrading the system in the future but understand that the rears can cause an issue because of the electric parking brake? Are there any sets to look at for upgrading stopping power all around? or am I limited to full front upgrade and decent rear pads?

You could upgrade to the 35i brakes.

I've always used Pagid pads. High quality, reliable, no noise, average dust levels and good stopping ability.
 
Yep, my experience of Pagid on quick cars is good, too.

That said, car manufacturers seem to swap between makes willy-nilly.

General consensus on E89 for road use that the existing brakes are more than adequate...I’ve looked at a few times and you need to spend about £2k to do a major upgrade front and rear including retaining the electronic parking brake..

If I felt the car was under braked I would do it in a heartbeat but with driving style I’ve not found the standard brakes wanting...others may have different views...
 
As above. Standard brakes are more than good enough for road use. The OEM Textar branded pads have great initial bite, but as a trade-off, they do dust easily.

Got some new pads ordered and due for fitting this weekend! :driving:

Seems like the upgrades will have to wait, I don't feel a need to get it done right away as current system seems to be more than adequate for current use. But something to put on the back burner... :fuelfire:
