Hi all
Kwik Fit have failed me on brake pads and are implying there's a 90% chance the discs will need changing too (this is the rear strangely) due to corrosion! My car sits out a lot so I expect them to be corroded but I thought that was normal, should discs need changing at 39k miles?
I feel like I am over a barrel really, I am happy to do the pads but I would have literally no idea by looking if the discs needed doing too or if they are just trying to rinse me. They say they will only be able to tell once they've taken the pads off, by that stage I can't really say I'm taking it elsewhere so it seems clever to me.
Any advice welcome on how often discs should be replaced and I also had a question on the pads after looking at euro car parts. There are 4 brands for sale: Textar, Pagid, ATE and Eicher, anyone any experience on which is better?
Thanks!
