Brake upgrade

What do you think?

I have been offered parts for a free brake upgrade.

Taking the calipers and rotors fron what would fit a Z3M and putting them on a Z4 3.0.

Parts are like new and free. Would you upgrade?

Bob - What are the rotor sizes of those being offered?
If they are larger than OEM, come with carriers that are a straight bolt on and calipers and will fit inside your rims (which IIRC are ellipsoids so should) then it's a good idea. If not then you might just be into a lot of fabrication work or expense

Changing mine up to the E46 330 front set up (as per the newer 3.0Si) made a big difference. I kept the OEM rears as that was never changed for the Si, so I keep OEM balance.

The fronts are 315 and the rear is 312. I do have 18' rims.

The parts are OEM for the 2001 Z3MC.

Spring cleaning going on and wants to reclaim his garage.

Well they'll clear the rims, but you're going to have to do some research on this as the sizes don't match the OEM Z4 pre or post facelift, so I can't help on information about if the carriers are compatible, rotor top had the right height, rotor thickness, etc..

As a point of reference the fronts are smaller than mine and rears larger so it may give an off balance braking set up.
