Brake Squealing

Hi All, I have an annoying squeal from my back brake on braking (naturally!). Normal? Any suggestions of how to get rid of it? Dosen't happen on hard braking only on softer braking. Car SDrive35i.

pads not bed in properly or overcooked pads. change your pads

Squeal is caused by vibration
* Cooked brakes (resulting in temporary uneven wear, or glazed discs/pads)
* Something is loose allowing the pad to move and rattle

You can try bedding in. On a young car like yours the pads will be in good shape still unless you've driven it extremely hard. I'm presuming that you haven't changed the pads and the pads we are talking about are standard.
