brake / road noise

any one else here ever get a lot of brake or tyre noise on braking, seem to get this on occasion when i am aware of a sort of rumbling noise , not sure if it is down to a certain bit of road surface or a wheel or brake problem, it certainly isnt there all the time and i think i notice it most at a certain bit of the a30 where i may be braking fairly heavily from dual carrriageway speed (read into that what you like ! ) onto a downhill slip rd exit , hard to tell but viration type rumbling best describes it. :?

Could be pad material deposits on the brake disc causing the vibration. Sometimes happens after serious braking. Shouldn't be something to worry about if that.

I'm sure others will chime in with other suggestions as well.

Perforated brake discs do grumble a bit by their nature, it would be good to go in another Z4M for comparison :)

Drilled discs should be no noiser than plain discs.

I have the same problem. The noise was there slightly when i bought the car. Got a lot worse after a trackday. It was an adhesion problem but its now a wear problem.

I year on its about the same and gets worse when the discs are hot.

I have a spare set of discs waiting to go on when i have the time.
