Brake pipes

A few years ago the MOT tester advised my front nearside metal brake pipe (the one running from the ABS pump to the calliper). I had it changed but seemingly the mechanic used rubbish pipe as its been advised again only two years later.

Seemingly BMW no longer stock it!

I think the part number is 34326774346

I've scotchbrighted it and put some rust killer on it so that might be enough but I'd feel happier getting it changed.

What are my options now? Obviously finding someone who doesn’t use rubbish pipe is one - that seems to be harder than it might at first appear to be!

I think [ref]bigwinn[/ref] makes his own using cunifer pipe?
Maybe worth a trip to him?

You can just make a copper pipe section up. Buy the pipe with a flaring tool and fixings for very little money and no rusting again

The OE brake pipes aren't very good quality anyway.

By the time it was 11 years old my previous Coupe had been getting advisories for corroded rear brake pipes for 3 years, so I got them replaced in Kunifer.
