Hello
i need to replace a 6" section of the steel pipe near the joint on the rubber pipe on the rear, can someone recommend a flaring tool ,will have to flare the steel pipe on the car.

Take a look on ebay and see whats out there, general rule the better the tool the higher the price.

Also take a look at Halfords what they have should cope with copper and knufer alloy pipe.
Practice makes perfect when using these tools, a dab of brake grease on the end of the pipe also assists when forming the flare.

If you are going to flare the pipe while it is still on the car you'll need one of the smaller tools, something like this, https://www.harborfreight.com/double-tube-flaring-tool-kit-58641.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=17924654128&campaignid=17924654128&utm_content=138329931054&adsetid=138329931054&product=58641&store=&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIquTBq9uA_AIVkTWtBh3oIQDVEAQYAiABEgKdxPD_BwE

Don’t go cheap

Buy a decent brand like sealey- the cheaper ones are fine flaring kunifer but don’t grip the existing steel lines you are splicing into
