My BMW CCA Chapter here in Kansas City is conducting an Autocross school tomorrow (7/14) for members. Cost is $40 including catered lunch.

I have also enrolled in a High Performance Driving Event (Heartland Park Road Course) Aug 10-12. Our Chapter allows certain Z4's to enter.

So I changed out my brake pads from Axxis Deluxe which are very low dust every day street pads over to Hawk HP Plus pads. These are very aggressive pads for autocross and HPDE's. They bite like crazy and give off piles of brake dust. They will take abuse and work better at higher temps like a road course will give. The working surface area is much larger than the Axxis pads and will wear rotors much faster. I'll post a pic comparing the foot print of the 2 different pads later today.

I'm also running in the a SCCA autocross Solo run on Sunday.

Weather is expected to be in the lower 90's with partly cloudy skies. My Zed is fully Zaino'd and ready to go.

I live for this stuff.

Pics to follow..... :driving:

Make sure you clean that brake dust off quickly - it's amazingly corrosive stuff once it gets wet.

Not that you ever wash your cars anyway of course.....
