Brake pad fitting

This is most probably an easy question! I'm getting the parts ordered for a brake refresh, and was going to get ATE Ceramic pads front and rear. Do I need a fitting kit for both axles? I can't find an ATE fitting kit on Autodoc, are they all compatible, as there are other makes of fitting kits?

I've got the pads ready to buy in my Autodoc basket, just can't find ATE fitting kits. I'm assuming a fitting kit will fit other brands of pad, but wasn't sure. I was going to get the Bosch kits if they fit.
These ones:
Front: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/1188477
Rear: https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/1188560
Just the clips? I'm not sure I'd bother tbh, and wouldn't call that a fitting kit. Don't rip them out, apply pressure against the spring and it will pop out, rather than try and lever it off.

Get some decent grease, not just coppaslip. I think the BMW stuff was actually quite cheap for little sachets.

In all my years of tinkering with cars I’ve never needed to replace those bits. If you are incredibly ham fisted you could possibly bend them when getting them off I suppose….

A more likely part to damage is the pad wear sensor but if you are careful they can usually be reused as well.

Bent mine during a brake job and never bothered replacing them. They are just anti-rattle clips.
