Brake Lights

Only half my brake lights are showing up (same on both sides)

if you imagine brake lights look like this ( ) ( )

all i'm getting is this ( ------------------ )

anyone know what the cause is???

(the two inner half circles are missing!!)

Can you post pics of the problem? I assume you have checked the bulbs are all working?

This is normal- the other half illuminates when emergency braking as an additional warning to those behind that you have pressed the pedal harder when already braking. You can mod this so they do full circle if you wish- there is a how to on here.

Is this 'half illumination' only on the pre-face lift then?

This is normal- the other half illuminates when emergency braking as an additional warning to those behind that you have pressed the pedal harder when already braking. You can mod this so they do full circle if you wish- there is a how to on here.

So if I depress the brake pedal harder they should come on full circle?? If so I'll test it later

It is more linked to the aggression of the braking mixed with the speed etc, you have to be really going some to get them to come on
