brake fluid reservoir cap diameter

Hello, I'm looking at buying a Sealey VS820 Brake & Clutch Bleeding System. It comes fitted with a Ø45 mm cap. There is an option to buy a 42mm cap for another £15.

My question is does anyone know what size the brake fluid reservoir cap diameter is on the Z4 E85 2.5si 2004 ?

I have been out and measured it but I can't be 100% sure which size it is - 42mm or 45mm :?

Has anyone else used the Sealey VS820 Brake & Clutch Bleeding System and was the 45mm cap okay?

Yes I used the Sealey VS820 and the standard cap is fine on my Z4.

In fact most cars use the same cap - and those that don't sometimes don't use a threaded cap at all so neither cap would work (e.g. my wife's Kia Ceed uses a bayonet style one).

EDIT - it's a great bit of kit, but expect it not to work out of the box without lubing up the seals and tightening them up slightly.
 
I have that kit too - the standard cap is fine. It’s great - saves so much faff!

It's my Megane, it's not as bad as it looks. It's just a large(ish) engine in a small bay. Access to anything is a pain, though.

Looks like a recipe for skinned knuckles!
One of the benefits of tinkering around in E85's engine bay is the sheer amount of wiggle space available. Almost everything is reachable.
