Brake flares SAE or DIN

I need to replace a brake pipe back to the ABS modulator. I have purchased cupro nickel tubing, unions etc and an AB tools FL29 flare tool. Which has good reviews on Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Profession...B+Tools+4.75mm+DIN+FL29&qid=1570883484&sr=8-1. This tool produces SAE flares. I made up a test bubble flare to seal off the ABS modulator while I remove the existing pipe for a template. But looking at the end of the pipe that has been removed it appears to resemble a DIN flare rather than an SAE with a flat rear face. I am unsure if I needed to buy the FL27 tool instead.

There is an interesting article on flares here: http://racetrackdriving.com/tech/brake-line-flares-metric-sae-inverted-bubble/

Does anyone know what unions and flares I should be using?
