Can you improve to larger front discs without any major alterations, just hate the small factory ones currently on
Just get them media-blasted and painted/decaled the way you want before fitting. Mine are tatty blue ones, but that's because they were meant as a stopgap before my Alcons go on (although only got photos of the rears as the fronts needed 12mm spacers that I didn't have to hand).ph001 said:Porsche and BMW just look odd together though.

Exactly, that's what I did, and they look great!

Porsche 996/986 front calipers: I got a used pair for £200 but they needed a full rebuild and refurb for another £200 so £400 total.
Caliper adapter brackets: £130 from Creation Motorsport.
Caliper machining: To make the calipers fit 5.5mm needs to be taken off the mounting face of the calipers. Cost me £30 at my local machine shop.
Braided Porsche to BMW lines: £50 from Creation Motorsport.
OEM Z4M/CSL discs: About £300 new
Brake pads: depends what you want to put in!
So in total I spent just over £600 plus new discs and pads.
