Brake Discs / Pads Upgrade

I have mtec drilled and grooved discs and textar e-pads on mine and they're fantastic. Regularly have to perform harsh high speed braking and they are more than up to the job of that.
 
Will be putting some MTec grooved & slotted onto mine when the current ones need replacing, was going to do this week as pads were noisy, and I've had some fade when hooning... But the discs are fine, so replaced the half worn PAgid's with some Mintex and all is now good again..

If you'd said 'like to' rather than 'have to' I would respect that all the more
 
I also have a set of M-tecs and e-pads waiting to go on. Having done 30k+ miles and still only being down to 50% wear though it may take a while.

I think you need to state what you want to achieve. In the title you say 'upgrade'. Everyone will recommend their favourite pads, but are you looking for better fade resistance, silent pads and disks, less dust, etc.

Personally I love EBC grooved and EBC pads. Less dust, slightly more noise, look great and braking performance is the same as OEM.
I have however fitted larger E46 disks that make a real upgrade for very little outlay (you already have those fitted on a facelift Si)

You try driving inside the M25 at 6am and then tell me it's poor planning. Leave any kind of gap, even 1 cars worth, and some inconsiderate prick will jump in it and then slam his anchors on :lol:

Yes I should have been more specific. By upgrade I mean better braking performance. Thanks everyone for your feedback.
 
I fitted EBC discs with yellow stuff pads. The stopping has massively improved so much so under heavy braking you get a funny head :P
